HostWelcome to the Global Café, where people meet to learn languages together. Let me show you what each of our five rooms offers.
HostThe Chat Room is our liveliest. Here you simply practise speaking with native speakers over a cup of coffee.
HostAcross the hall is the Partner Room. The idea there is to swap one language for another — you teach yours, they teach theirs.
HostThe Cinema Room is darker and quieter, of course. Every evening members watch films in other languages with subtitles.
HostIn the Games Room things get noisy again, because members play word games for vocabulary, which makes new words stick.
HostAnd the Writing Room is the calm one, where a volunteer will get your writing corrected, sentence by sentence.
