LeaderWelcome to the Clear Speech Workshop, all about being understood, not sounding perfect. There are five stations today.
LeaderAt the Mirror Station, you watch your mouth and practise difficult sounds with a mirror, which shows what your tongue is doing.
LeaderThe Echo Station uses tablets, where you record and compare your accent against a model voice.
LeaderThe Beat Station is the liveliest. With drums and clapping, you learn the rhythm of English, which carries the meaning.
LeaderAt the Stress Station, a coach helps you fix common word-stress errors, like saying a word with the beat in the wrong place.
LeaderAnd the Pairs Station is simple but useful: you listen and repeat tricky pairs, such as ship and sheep.
