LecturerGood morning. Today I want to argue that learning should not stop when we leave school — it should last a lifetime.

LecturerSecond, there's the brain itself. Research shows that learning new things keeps the mind sharp well into old age.
LecturerThird, learning brings people together. Evening classes are now one of the main ways adults make new friends.
LecturerIt needn't be expensive. A huge amount of free material is available through the public library.
LecturerOnline courses help too, and the most popular subject among adult learners is, perhaps surprisingly, photography.
