SamWe studied five local small businesses and the main problem each one faced in its very first year of trading.

LenaWe considered an online survey, but in the end we interviewed each owner face to face, which gave us far richer answers.
TutorGood choice. Across all five, what would you say was the single most common problem?
SamBy a clear margin, the most common was cash flow — money simply not arriving in time to pay the bills.
