LecturerToday's talk is about protecting wildlife, and how ordinary choices can help animals survive.

LecturerFirst, we must understand the main threat. The biggest danger to most animals is the loss of their habitat.

LecturerWhen we build or farm, we remove the wild places where animals find food and raise their young.

LecturerA second threat is hunting. Some animals are killed illegally for their skin, horn, or other parts.

LecturerPollution harms wildlife too, especially plastic, which sea animals often swallow by mistake.

LecturerThere is good news. Setting aside protected land, called a reserve, gives animals a safe home.
