AdviserFor your opening summary, keep it to three sentences maximum. Start with your degree, then highlight one key strength and one career ambition.
AdviserFor voluntary work and university clubs, never underestimate this section. Employers value leadership and initiative shown outside the classroom just as much as grades.
AdviserWhen listing your degree and A-level results, always include the awarding institution and the year of completion — not just the grade.
AdviserIn the skills section, avoid simply writing 'good communicator' — instead say something like 'presented research findings to an audience of fifty students'.
AdviserFor referees, always ask permission before including someone's contact details. Two referees are standard — one academic and one professional.
