LecturerToday I'll share the steps that turn a nervous speaker into a confident one. None of them needs natural talent.
LecturerStep one is to know your opening by heart. If the first thirty seconds go well, your nerves usually fade.
LecturerStep two: keep each slide simple. A good rule is no more than six words on a slide.
LecturerStep three is to look at the audience, not the screen. Eye contact builds trust faster than any clever graphic.
LecturerMany speakers rush, so step four is to slow down and pause after key points.
LecturerStep five: use a story. Listeners forget figures, but they remember a story long afterwards.
