LecturerWelcome. Tonight we'll take a quick tour of our solar system — the sun and everything that travels around it.
LecturerAt the centre sits the sun, a giant ball of burning gas. It holds everything in place with its enormous pull, called gravity.
LecturerEight planets orbit the sun. The closest one, and the smallest, is Mercury, a scorched rock with no air at all.
LecturerThe planet most like our own is Mars. Because of its colour, people have always known it as the red planet.
LecturerThe biggest planet by far is Jupiter, so large that all the others could fit inside it with room to spare.
LecturerBeautiful Saturn is famous for the bright rings around it, which are made mostly of ice.
